Health Unit Coordinator

•The Health Unit Coordinator program prepares the student to work as a health unit coordinator at hospital or skilled nursing facility. The health unit
coordinator works closely with health professionals providing communication
support to nursing services and ancillary departments in the collection and
dissemination of patient data.
•Students will be trained in the skills of medical terminology, keyboarding,
basic patient care skills, health unit secretary’s dictation, inputting orders, add
orders to chart, and communicate effectively within a working healthcare team.
