Phlebotomy
•The Phlebotomist Certification Program is designed to prepare students for
career in Phlebotomy where specimen processing is required.
•Students will be trained in the skill of Phlebotomy including venipunctures, capillary
punctures, blood cultures, specimen processing, data entry, laboratory safety,
quality control, and laboratory billing.
•Occupations: Phlebotomist, Laboratory Assistant I, Paramedic (Insurance
Examiner)
Diploma Requirements:
•Introduction to Christian Education 3 credits
•Anatomy of Human Body 3 credits
•Medical Terminology 3 credits
•CPR or Emergency Response 1 credit
•Introduction to Health Care 3 credits
•Fundamentals of Computer 3 credits
•Introduction to Phlebotomy 4 credits
•Phlebotomy Clinical I 5 credits
•Phlebotomy Clinical II 6 credits
•Total: 32 credits
